The conductive shell prevents electrostatic discharge that can silently degrade sensitive electronics long before a functional test would reveal the damage to a flight-critical board. When parts move by air, every kilogram costs money on the airway bill and adds to the fuel burned on the flight. The smooth surface also resists fuel and hydraulic fluid, simplifying decontamination before the case returns to the loop and is reused for the next high-value movement across the network. Durability in Harsh Hangar Conditions
Hangars swing from minus 30 to plus 50 Celsius, and equipment is dropped, dragged, and stacked under time pressure to turn an aircraft around. Polypropylene keeps its impact strength down to minus 20, and our copolymer grade extends that to minus 30, so cases do not crack during winter ramp handling in northern bases where the temperature drops sharply overnight.
A 5-year service life is typical with monthly inspection, which is far longer than the one-way foam and wood crates aerospace once relied upon for these sensitive shipments. The durability also reduces the administrative load of ordering and tracking disposable packaging, freeing the logistics clerk to focus on the parts themselves rather than the boxes that carry them from bay to bay.
