PP hollow sheets, also known as corrugated PP or twin-wall PP, combine light weight with surprising rigidity. Their hollow-flute structure creates an efficient balance of stiffness and material use that is ideal for industrial packaging.
Mechanical Efficiency
The flute geometry acts like a series of small I-beams. This gives the sheet good compressive and bending strength with minimal wall thickness and low density. Rulowin offers sheets from 2 mm to 12 mm thickness.
Conversion Options
Hollow sheets can be cut, scored, welded and riveted into boxes, layer pads, dividers and signs. This flexibility makes them a raw material for many packaging subsystems.
Weight Savings
Replacing solid plastic or plywood with hollow PP reduces packaging weight by 30 to 60 percent in many applications. That weight saving flows through to freight cost and manual handling ergonomics.
PP hollow sheets are the starting point for many custom returnable packaging designs.
